Stand firm Boris

London Mayor Boris Johnson has gone back on his plan to withhold the pay of London Transport staff who didn't come to work last Monday and Tuesday.

Unions threatened industrial action if the mayor didn't change his mind.

Keith Norman, general secretary of Aslef, the train drivers' union, said: "I am sure most Londoners will agree that being penalised for failing to arrive at work last week would be vindictive and mean."

The reason some Londoners couldn't get to work last week was because the bloody train drivers didn't turn up!

In Germany recently eight inches of snow meant that public travel services were delayed by up to 45 minutes - eight inches of snow here and the whole system grinds to a halt.

Pathetic.

A transport question...

When did a "normal service" on trains become a "good service"?
