Impartial BBC? Don't make me laugh...

The BBC is under fire for refusing to show an appeal about Gaza.

DG Mark Thompson says to show it would breach corporation impartiality. The BBC should show the appeal or they shouldn't - it is entirely a matter for Mr Thompson and his editorial team. However, don't give us this sanctimonious tosh about BBC impartiality.

The BBC is not impartial - it is not impartial about the EU, it is not impartial about global warming, it is not impartial about metrification, it was not impartial about Peter Mandelson's sexuality a few years ago, it is not impartial (mostly) about the Labour government - so why the big public statement about impartiality on Gaza now?
