There are plenty of instances of genuine discrimination in Britain today without pathetic politicians getting up on their hind legs and moaning that something is not “inclusive”.
The latest to bleat is Margaret Hodge who is claiming that the Proms is not inclusive.
She says: “The audiences for some of many of our greatest cultural events - I’m thinking particularly of the Proms – is still a long way from demonstrating that people from different backgrounds feel at ease in being part of this.”
Anyone can go to the Proms if they want. That’s the whole point of them. The fact is that some people may not want to go but they are not prevented from doing so. If there was a genuine reason why certain people could not go then that would be a cause for concern but there is not. No one is stopped from going to the Proms.
This is just more social engineering from Labour, a party determined to wreck the great traditions of this country.
The sooner Hodge and her cohorts are gone, the better.
Guido has this.
