Tough on home-makers

The Home Office has refused permission for Martha Stewart, the American TV personality, to visit Britain.

Miss Stewart who made a fortune from being a lifestyle guru was convicted four years ago in America for obstructing justice. She was planning to speak at the Royal Academy in London.

A spokesman for the UK Border Agency said, "We continue to oppose the entry to the UK of individuals where we believe their presence in the United Kingdom is not conducive to the public good or where they have been found guilty of serious criminal offences abroad."

Yep, Martha Stewart may make some killer muffins while in the UK.
